Troubleshooting A Faulty Connector On A Brake Buddy Select 3 Braking System
Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/20/2024 >
Question:
I bought a Brake Buddy 3 sytem in Sept. 2021. I just started using it recently since retirement. The power cord has an intermittent connection at the Brake Buddy end. If I jiggle it just right it works but occassionally stops working. The connector seems loose in the unit. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Nathan,
As a consumer there's not a way for you to fix a loose connector on your Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System # HM39524 but you can reach out to the manufacturer, Hopkins Manufacturing, and they'd be able to help replace the faulty connector on your unit.
