Will The Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro Work As A Replacement For An Atwood OD-5001?

Question:

I am needing a replacement water heater for my Atwood OD-5001, but I am seeing that they are not around anymore. Will the Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro RV Tankless Water Heaters FG47FR fit? I saw that it was gas only, which my Atwood was too, and wanted to stick to that. Tankless also sounds like the way to go nowadays. Will need a door for it as well.

I will start by saying tankless is definitely the way to go. They supply hot water significantly faster and more continuously than tanked models and tend to take up less room as well. Now down to the nitty-gritty.

The Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro RV Tankless Water Heater With Mixing Tank # FG47FR should work as a replacement for your Atwood OD-5001. I say should as I could not find any measurements for that specific model, so you will need to measure a little bit. The Fogatti # FG47FR measures 13” wide x 13” tall x 15-13/16” deep so as long as you are close to that, it will fit. But, you may need to a few slight modifications.

The proper door will also need a few measurements to make sure it will be the right one. I have all the doors for this heater listed below as well as the kit (the door and the heater together for ease of ordering).
