Question:

how much of the rail should i cut offafter measuring the floor to ceiling in order to fit the head into the rails.. if i cut the rails to the height of the ceiling how will i install the screen unit?

If it is necessary to cut the rails, I suggest you place the top piece into the side rails and measure from the top to the point that matches your desired length. Please look at image number 2 and compare to your particular camper. Can you place the unit as is, without cutting side rail height, to where the head will be inside and above the header of your camper? If so, I suggest you install without cutting and set the unit inside the trailer rather than flush with end edge..
