Troubleshooting Curt Echo Causing Intermittent Trailer Braking with 2020 Ford Expedition
Updated 07/11/2024 | Published 07/03/2024 >
Question:
I have a 2020 Ford Expedition, I installed a 51180 the issue Im having is, when cruising at 55mph or above and I apply the brake pedal everything seems to be working smoothly, however when coming to a stop at lower speeds, Im getting a sensation similar to going over rumble strips, as if the controller keeps catching and releasing creating a jerking motion. Wonder if anybody as a solution to this problem. Thank you in advance.

Hey Angelo, thanks for reaching out!
What I would try doing is deleting the Curt Echo app and re-pairing the Controller # C51180 with your 2020 Ford Expedition prior to plugging the trailer into the controller. If that fixes it, great! If it doesn't, then I recommend checking that your trailer brakes are adjusted so that they have a slight drag, but still allow your wheels to spin by hand.
If this doesn't fix it, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you further troubleshoot this!
