Question:

I have a 2022 Ram Bighorn 1500 with a Retrax Tonneau cover including T-slot rails. I also have 2 Yakima Lock Jaw bike racks that mount on Yakima round bars. I want to purchase Yakima towers to attach to the Retrax T-slot rails and add new 78inch Yakima round bars, to which I can attach my existing Lock Jaw bike racks. It looks like the Track Towers Y52AV are best for attaching to the T-slot rails. Would you agree? And which adapter do I need for the round bars? Would the Round Bar SL adapter Y03536 work with the Track Towers? If there is a better combination, please recommend. Thanks!

Hello Jay. It sounds like you are definitely on the right track here. The TrackTowers # Y52AV and the RoundBar SL Adapters # Y03536 will definitely be your best bet for adding Yakima round bars to the T-Slots on your Retrax Tonneau Cover. The TrackTowers are compatible with pretty much any T-track and this will include the ones on your Retrax Cover. From there you can add the 78" Yakima RoundBar Crossbars # Y00411 and your Lockjaw Bike racks.

The Yakima round bars are super versatile and they are actually more durable than they appear. We have a utility trailer we use around the office here that is equipped with the Yakima Round bars. I actually just used it yesterday for a kayak trip and I am always impressed with how well they hold up. Even after the beating we put the bars thru over the years, they work just as good as new.
