Tube Dimensions Of The Square Direct Weld Jack w/ Footplate # TJD-8000
Updated 02/17/2026 | Published 06/09/2024 >
Question:
Spec says Inner tube width: 2inch Is this the outer dimension of the innermost tube i.e. the one with the foot pad and adjustment holes? This is a crucial dimension for me, as Im aiming to retrofit a custom wheel in place of the foot pad, and it was fabricated with a swivel system with a 2inch outer dimension square tube. I understand changing stuff probably voids warranty, etc - and Im not worried about weight capacity, its oversized and overbuilt, will be going on a small trailer with gross weight less than 1/2 of the spec for this jack

Hey Nor,
The 2" dimension on the Square Direct Weld Jack w/ Footplate # TJD-8000 is the outer dimension of the inner tube that has one slot for the drop leg to attach to.

Hey Nor, did that 2-inch outer dimension on the inner tube line up with your custom wheel setup? Knowing how your retrofit turned out could help others working on similar trailer projects.
