What is the difference between the two Thule Helium racks, the TH53GC for $699 and the one on this page, the TH44VR which is more expensive at $799. Thule Helium Platform XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches - Wheel Mount

Hello Tom. The Thule Helium Platform XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH53GC is just the newer version of the # TH44VR and comes with slightly more capacity at 45lbs versus the 37.5lb capacity of the # TH44VR and 2 extra inches for the maximum wheelbase capacity (52"). The # TH44VR will eventually be phased out once stock is gone.
