Want to make sure I understand, once the echo brake control is set up it will work with out the phone, the only think you won’t have is the manual option to apply the brakes thanks Wayne

Wayne I can confirm that! Once you do the initial set up for the Curt Echo item # C51180 and adjust everything you'll be ready to go. You can fine tune it whenever you want but you do not have to actively have the app open. This is really beneficial if someone else is towing your trailer with the Echo item # C51180.
If you are interested in having that manual override you can add the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR.
