Can the Trailer Valet RVR3 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly Be Used for a SylvanSport Go Tent Trailer

Updated 06/04/2024 | Published 05/29/2024

Question:

I have a SylvanSport Go pop-up tent trailer, that has a dry tongue weight of 85lbs, though I suspect the way we load it is 100lbs+. Ive been looking for a powered trailer dolly to move it into our storage unit that doesnt have enough driving space to back it in. I have a Trailer Valet XL, that frankly doesnt work well for me primarily because I have an incomplete spinal cord injury and dont have full use of my right arm. I see you have a Special Savings on a Trailer Valet RVR3 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly - Wireless Remote - 3,500 lbs-Item TVRVR3. In watching the video, I see it needs about 165 lbs of tongue weight to function properly. Where Id use it, there is a very slight incline to the door plus about a 3/4 to 1 lip going into the storage unit. The XL loses traction when the trailer tires hit the lip, plus it is difficult for me to crank and steer. Are you aware of something that might work for me? Other than the tongue weight issue, the unit you have on sale looks like it could work for me. I also see you have a used one available as well. What kind of condition is it in? Thanks so much.

Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out!

The Trailer Valet RVR3 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly # TVRVR3 does sound like the right solution for you, and you can get that heavier tongue weight by either loading some heavier stuff in that front compartment on your trailer, moving the trailer dolly closer to your axle, or a combination of both solutions. Maybe loading up some cinder blocks or gallons of water could be what you need to do just for moving the trailer around with the dolly.

The one that we list as being used just says that it was installed and test/fit so it is probably the one that we used in the attached review video.
