Question:

I am looking to purchase the Roadmaster Comfort Ride leaf spring for my 2022 Alliance Paradigm 385FL. I am usually at weight or just a little over and have Dexter 7K axles and want to upgrade with this 8K leaf spring kit for 3inch axles. My question is for the U-bolts will 9/16" u-bolts in this setup or do I have to go with 1/2" u-bolts.

If you get the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks # RM-2460-2580 you can use 9/16" U-bolts if you already have them. You also want to make sure the U-bolts attaching your trailer’s leaf springs to the axles have at least 3/4” of thread showing beyond the nut.

If you need longer U-bolts you can use the # SP01-060 which are 1/2" diameter x 7" long which is the same as the 2630 listed in the Roadmaster manual. They also list a torque value for 9/16" U-bolts on the last page of the instructions attached below based on your axle brand.
