i am looking for tow bar with for my GLE 350 2018. I would love to hear that Curt make such with detachable receiver. Anyway, which CURT tow bar does not require making modifications of the bumper. I hate to cut perfectly fine bumper to fit the towing package. Please, advise.

Curt doesn't make hitches with detachable receivers. The only one they offer that fits your 2018 GLE 350 that does not require trimming is their item # C13294 you were looking at.
The Curt Hitch item # C13294 is custom fit and bolts to your Mercedes with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 7,500 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like the Curt item # C13294 because it installs behind your rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance when you are towing or using an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
