Question:
I need to replace the left and right side brakes on my trailer. The back of the backing plate reads, Dexter 6-7 KRPI-GG SEC-GG 5.2 KPRI-FF SEC-FF 12X2DXQ 36-89 This is a 6 lug pattern. What brake assemblies and hub/drum assemblies do I need?

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the info, and let's start with the brakes, and since you have Dexter 12" x 2" brakes you can replace them with the following:
- Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA
These are self-adjusting so easier than the manual adjust brakes, and the only thing to note is you'll also need to add the hardware, the Mounting Bolts and Hardware # BRKH12.
As for the hub and drum I was unable to find anything based on the info you gave, but there are a couple of ways to find it. First is to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle where the bearings ride to find what bearings you have.
I have added a link below to our selection of hub and drums, and if you find the bearing numbers you can filter through the hubs based on that. Or if you have the spindle measurements you can comment below what those are and I'll see what I can find for you.
