Troubleshooting Retrax Retractable Tonneau Cover Not Fully Opening

Question:

My Retrax retractable cover opens very hard and now won’t open completely. There about 18” left to open completely. How do I fix this problem that has got progressively worse.

As your problem has gotten worse over time it is most likely your cover has become misaligned and is jamming up inside the housing as it retracts. I was unable to find a Retrax cover in our sales history tied to your email. It would be a good idea to contact Retrax as they can help you to determine if there are any damaged components which could be covered under warranty as well.
