Question:
I have an aftermarket towing kit already installed on my 2022 X7. This kit did not come with any electronics. My question is, can I purchase this 391CONVD5 and use this to get lights on my trailer? Hard to tell from the videos if the electric wiring kit is independent of the actual Stealth towing kit, or if it actually needs that towing kit in order for it to work.

Hey Drew,
If your currently have just the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH66VR then you would need to get the # 391CONVD5 in order to tow a trailer. The receiver tube included with the # SH66VR is not for use with ball mounts, only the ball mount shank included in # 391CONVD5 is rated for trailer towing. This also includes the safety chain loops, trailer wiring, and mounting bracket for the wiring.
