Will Stromberg Carlson Base Pad Extreme Qty 6 Be Able to Handle 20K 2019 Grand Design Momentum 397TH

Question:

Good evening I have a 2019 Grand Design Momentum 397TH it has a GVRW of 20K, I realize that the entire weight of the camper isnt on the Stromberg Carlson base, and I am aware that it has a 6K weight limit. How do you determine what the weight will be on each pad if I have 6 auto leveling pads and 6 rims and tires? Will they work for all 6 of my leveling jacks?

Hey Tim, thanks for reaching out!

The Stromberg Carlson Base Pad Extreme for RVs and Trailers # SC33VR have a 6,000 lb rating for each Base Pad Extreme so you're looking at a total of 36,000 lbs for this kit of 6. Ideally your jacks will have the weight distributed evenly among the jacks so there won't be any problems with too much weight on 1 individual Base Pad.

Unless you'll be placing a LOT of load on one Base Pad, you'll have a hard time overloading them with your setup.
