Question:

Hey good evening, This is in reference to product TMX28ZR We are looking to get a lock like this to fit with our puck locks for the side door of the trailer. My question is, does this only work installed with flat surfaces? Our side door has a ridge along the side of the door. Our trailer is an interstate trailer and the side door has an rv style lock and handle. Thank you for your time, and also any other suggestions to beef up securing the side door would be helpful. Hi Dan; the Trimax Trailer Door Hasp for Puck Lock # TMX28ZR is designed to be installed on a flat surface but you could make it work with your ridge along the side of the door. A small piece of wood, plastic, or other material can be used to fill in any space behind the hasp which would create a flat surface for installation. A lot of installations require creative solutions like this to make parts work on a trailer. This hasp, along with locks like the # TMX63FR, is about as good as it gets for securing a side door.
