For your application you'll want to use the Tensioner for 8K - 12K Bulldog Winch Standard Series Truck Winches # BDW20234. This is designed for Bulldog winches but we've been able to confirm that it is compatible with Badlands winches in the same weight range.

Does anyone have a picture of a tensioner on a badlands 12000 winch or what tensioner fits on the badlands winch

@Wally A popular option that works for 8,000–12,000 lb winches (including many Badland 12K setups) is the Bulldog Winch rope/cable tensioner, part # BDW20234. It’s been recommended specifically for a 12K Badland application. There are reviews on the product page from other customers that used it successfully on their Badlands 1200 WInch.
