Question:
I would like to use a cargo hitch carrier on my rv, but currently have the spare tire on a carrier in the hitch. The bumper is 6x3, so i cant use a standard bumper mount. Its a 1979 Airstream motorhome. Any ideas?

Hi Eric,
Airstreams typically have small tongues but if you have the space you could install the Demco Spare Tire Mount # DM15851-76. This clamps on to the trailer frame at the tongue giving you space for the hitch mounted carrier in the back. If not, you could also just get a weld-on receiver tube # 337RT25808B and weld it to the top of the bumper off to the side so that it doesn't interfere with the other carrier.
If these won't work then send me some pictures of your motorhome and I can see if there might be some other alternative option available.

Thanks Kevin, Let me get my measuring tape to see if my tire will fit. It's pretty big, which is my only concern. I was looking at Roadmaster RM-195125, but it's pretty pricey. I like your option better. Thanks
