Question:

I inherited a BX4322 with a 36 ft motor home. it towed a late model Jeep Wrangler. I did not get the brackets for hook up to the jeep. I will tow a 96 Ford Ranger. Can I get the brackets and will it work on this truck?

Yes, the Blue Ox Rangefinder II to Roadmaster Bracket Adapter # RM-037 that you referenced would with your Blue Ox Rangefinder II tow bar part number BX4322 as long as you install a Roadmaster base plate kit on your 1996 Ford like part # 435-3.

There are a few other flat towing products you may also be interested in as well.

For lighting you may be interested in the Diode Tow Bar Wiring Kit Part # # RM-154. This kit will allow your motorhome to activate the taillights of your Ranger while being flat towed.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Even Brake proportional system, # RM-9400, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the two vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
