Hanger Placement with 3,500 lb Axle with Hanger Kit part # APS4 On Trailer with Axles Under Springs

Question:

I recently purchased hanger kit part# APS4 and am preparing to mount it to my 3,500 lb trailer axle and frame. The diagram on the product page list different hanger spacing requirements depending on the axle the hanger kit is going to be used with. In my application the leaf springs rest on top of the trailer axle unlike the diagram picture that is shown on your website. Does this change the spacing recommendation/requirement for the hangers? Please let me know when you can. Thank You,

Your axles being under the leaf springs will not change the hanger location recommendations listed for the Single Axle Hanger Kit part # APS4. You would want to have the hangers 25-3/4 apart measured on bolt center.

However, since your axles are below the springs you would not need to have 5 inches between the center of the axle and the trailer frame.
