2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Sags When Towing a Trailer

Updated 04/22/2014 | Published 04/21/2014

Question:

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4 quad cab. I tow a 7x16 tralier I notice lately the truck sits a little lower when hooked up Im guessing 2-3. If i install these will it help it from going down ? Or do they offer a ride leveling shock that levels it self without adding air each time I hook up trailer. Last is there a place that installs your products.

Yes, installing Timbren suspension enhancement springs # TDR1525H4 will prevent the sag at the back of your 2007 Dodge Ram. However it is not the best solution for sag caused by towing a trailer. The best solution for that is weight distribution. Suspension enhancement is best for loads carried in the truck bed.

For weight distribution I would need to know the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the truck. I have included some links on weight distribution and determining tongue weight for you.

Any trusted mechanic or RV dealer with a surface center can install suspension enhancement or weight distribution.
