Question:

I was told by a RV Dealer that a weight distribution hitch would not work on a Flagstaff HW29SC pop up camper. My truck is 2021 F150 GVWR 7150lbs, GCWR 14800lbs, payload is 2000lbs. Camper is GVWR 5000 and from reading several forums regarding true tongue weight, I am estimating tongue weight around 650 lbs. I probably dont need WDH but would like a peace of mind. 1st question - Can a WDH fit this camper? if so, which WDH do you recommend with my setup?

We can definitely help you out with a weight distribution system for your Flagstaff HW29SC!

I'm guessing the reason your RV Dealer said a WD can't be used on the trailer is because the top of the tongue where the brackets would mount is a bit crowded with your propane and battery banks. With this being the case I recommend installing the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66073 with the shank # RP54970 and then using the Chain Hangers # RP58305 so the chains will attach to the trailer on the side of the frame instead of having to mount brackets on top of the frame.
