Hi Stephen,

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56434 is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Toyota RAV4 so means that the unit could be faulty or that it was installed incorrectly. I recommend just going through the installation again and making sure you're connected to the correct plugs and that they are making full contact. Since this uses t-connectors you could also have a loose connection to factory wiring or the tail lights. A majority of the time it's a simple fix like this. If you've rechecked everything and can find no errors then I recommend removing the harness and seeing if the lights pop back up on the dash and then we can go from there.

I had this wiring system on a previous 2006 RAV4. I supplied power from a 12volt outlet in the cargo area. Unplugged it when not in use. On my 2019 RAV4 I hooked the converter box to the cars wiring left and right taillights. I drove the car before I hooked up to 12volts. When I turned on the headlights all my warning lights came on. Then I connected the converter box to 12v. Now the car is fine. Then I connected to my trailer, tested the trailer lights. Everything seams to be working properly with no warning lights. Thanks.
