Does Peterson Piranha LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light Have Space In The Back For Wire
Published 02/16/2024 >
Question:
I have a 2007 Casita 17inch Deluxe TT. The marker light wire inside the fiberglass wall has expanding foam insulation that prevents me from stuffing excess wire into the wall when I replace the amber marker light. Does this replacement light have room in the base to stuff a minimal amount of excess wire? Also, does the gasket need to be purchased separately? Thanks.

The Peterson Piranha LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light # 169A does have a little bit of space in the back where you could fold in some excess wire. Just be careful if you're folding down the wire from the light near the circuit board so you don't damage anything.
That style of insulation can also be trimmed, so if you're having trouble you could shave it down a little to get everything to fit if need be. Also, there is no gasket for this light. It will be mounted directly to the surface of your trailer. It is epoxy sealed which makes it completely waterproof.
