Hello Ray, always cool to see the old Toyotas still on the road. As far as a door latch, we may have an option for you, but I am afraid we do not have a direct match. The 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" cutout size is really not used for RV entry door latches these days. So finding a direct replacement may prove to be difficult outside of finding one secondhand.
The closest thing we can offer is the Bauer Products Rotary Latch # BA85FR which is made to fit a 6" tall x 4" wide cutout. Looking at the pictures I can see of the 1976 Toyota Chinook, this appears to be fairly similar in design to the OEM rear door latch. If you can find a way to enlarge the cutout slightly, this will be a great option.
Aside from this, most of the latches we offer are made for smaller cutouts around 3" wide and 4" tall roughly.
