Question:

I have an old school - open top horse trailer that loads 2 horses straight in rather than a slant load. It has one axle and leaf springs which make me nervous to go faster than 45 mph. I dont want to bounce the horses out. What alternative solutions do I have to be able to hit 60...?

Expert Reply:

You could add a shock kit to your trailer to help soften the trailer suspension movement. It will get rid of the bounce since it slows down the up and down movement of the trailer's suspension. For that we have the part # LC281255 for if you have a 2-3/8 inch diameter axle or the part # LC281281 for if they are 3 inch in diameter. I would recommend checking the condition of the suspension too while you are under the trailer getting the axle diameter.
