I recommend going with a hitch bike rack like the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack # NV12B. You will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C68DR for your 2024 Honda HR-V. This will allow you to carry the bikes behind Honda rather than trying to install the on your roof. The bike rack above also has a built in stand so you can more easily work on your bikes at home or at the trailhead.

I also recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK72VR when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector which will fit most small trailers you might tow. It will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 should your bikes impair the view of your tail lights to other drivers.
