Does Replacing Turn Signal on Motorhome with LEDs Require Installing Load Resistors
Published 01/16/2024 >
Question:
I plan on using two of these LED turn indicator lights to replace the current incandescent ones on my motorhome. Is it as simple as clipping the wires, connecting the 3-way pigtail A47PB, and plugging them together? Ive heard stories of how going from standard flasher bulbs to LED ones can cause hyperflashinginch and can sometimes require some special relay or a load-resistor kit.

When replacing an incandescent turn signal circuit bulb on a vehicle with an LED you would need to install load resistors or you can go with the easier solution of replacing the thermal flasher unit that controls the blinkers with a digital one. I did this on a vehicle years ago and it's much easier than trying to find the correct load resistor. We do not carry digital flasher units though so you would need to source that elsewhere.
