Do You Use Shims to Adjust Toe of Timbren Axle-Less Suspension ASR35HDS02
Published 01/10/2024 >
Question:
Hi, How would one use the shims to adjust toe? Would I shim the horizontal bolts running through the side of the trailer frame on the outboard? If yes, Is it OK then that the entire face of the outboard arm isn’t flush against the side rail of the trailer? Thanks!

I reached out to Timbren to ask them about how to use the shims to adjust the toe when installing the 3,500 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR35HDS02.
What they said was you won't use the shims to adjust toe, the shims are used to adjust camber. In order to adjust toe loosen the 4 bolts where the outboard arm (spindle) attaches to the trailing arm and adjust in or out depending on whether toed in or out. There isn't a lot of play but there should be enough to adjust it enough to correct it. If it can't corrected that way (if that happens to be an issue) then there is a possibility that the trailer frame isn't completely square and that's where the (possible) issue is coming from.
