Question:

I am using a Buick 2023 encore GX as a flat toe with a blue ox patriot three braking system. Because I have to disconnect the battery from the encore what is available to power my blue ox braking system?

Expert Reply:

Rather than disconnecting the battery by removing the ground connection I recommend installing the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766 on your 2023 Buick Encore GX. This will allow you to Run a 12 Volt Outlet # RM-9332 for your Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR which connects to the power side of the battery disconnect. This way when you press the button on your dash to disconnect the battery this outlet still has power for the braking system.

Be sure to also install the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 so your battery on your Encore can charge from the charge line on your motor home.
