Question:

2021 outback with factory roof rack. foldable cross bars.. What equipment do I need in addition to the Thule Hullivator to mount it to my Outback? I have a 20, 3 person wood kayak. It probably weighs closer to 85 pounds than 75. 30 inch beam width. I know it cannot be mounted in the factory crossbars.

You will actually need a whole new roof rack system in order to mount the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 on your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon, and for that I recommend the Thule WingBar Evo system:

- 43" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711120
- Evo Flush Rail Feet # TH710601
- Fit Kit # TH37CE

This system will give you the overhang needed for the Hullavator Pro to fit properly and have enough clearance so the arms don't make contact with your vehicle.

In addition to all of this you can add the Thule lock core system for some peace of mind. The 4-Core Kit # TH450400 will add locks to the roof rack only. If you wanted to get locks for the Hullavator Pro kit as well then the 6-Core Kit # TH450600 gives you matching locks for the roof rack and the kayak carrier.
