Selecting the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers For a Forest River Cherokee Artic Wolf 23MLE 5TH Wheel

Question:

My existing factory equalizer on a forest River Cherokee artic wolf fifth wheel 23mle has a bolt center dimension of 6.125” for bottom bolts and a vertical dimension of 4” from top center to bottom bolt axis. This unit shows 4” but the center to center dimension for bottom bolts is well over my 6.125…could these work?

You will want to use the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 on your Forest River Cherokee Artic Wolf 23MLE 5th wheel. These equalizers are much closer to your 6-1/8" spread at 5-1/2". They are also designed for the lighter axles you have under your 5th wheel since they were designed for axles with individual capacities ranging from 3,000-6,000lbs.

The Equalizers # LC279688 you found are not going to work correctly as the 7-1/2" bolt centers are much more than the difference above and the weight capacity being for 6,000-8,000lb axles would create a harsher ride quality then those above as they will have stiffer cushioning.

You will want to pair the equalizer kit above with one of the kits listed below depending on the length of your shackle straps and if you have correct track on your Artic Wolf.
