Can I use the 792 hy power diodes for a 12 volt 20 amp draw cooling fan on my car to prevent back feed

Yes, since the Roadmaster diode part # RM-790 is rated for up to 85 amps it could easily handle 20 amps. It also only allows current to flow in one direction so it would prevent feedback.
