Can Jayco Pop Up Trailer with 4 Lug Hubs be Swapped to 5 Lug Hubs
Updated 11/07/2023 | Published 11/06/2023 >
Question:
I have a 1999 Jayco Popup with a Dexter torsion axle, serial # D3415594 - which has a bolt pattern of 4, and I want to replace the hubs with 5x4.5. The question is can I replace these, or do I need to replace the entire axle?

Expert Reply:
Since you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern currently that would indicate that you have a 2,000 lb axle so you could swap your current hubs pretty easily with the bolt pattern you are looking for with the part # 34822545BX that you referenced. This hub comes pre-greased and ready to install as well.
