Troubleshooting Curt Echo Mobile Not Functioning Mercedes GLC300

Question:
Hi… brand new Benz GLC300 with tow package factory installed. I have the Curt Bluetooth wireless brake controller that is working on my old car but when plugged into the new car multiple times, nothing… the light is off. Also when plugging the camper 7 way into the car 7 way, nothing… no lights etc. are working. I didn’t notice any errors on the dash. The camper has LED lights. I’ve read about issues with German vehicles with brake lights that are LED. Is this still an issue with new cars? Would this issue make the Bluetooth brake controller not work? Suggestions please. 7 way to 7 way adapter needed? Thanks!

I'd be willing to bet the 12 volt accessory circuit of your Mercedes 7-way isn't active as it's not always. What I would do is take 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 and run it from the positive pin of your battery through a breaker like # 9510 to the 1:00 pin of your 7-way.
