Question:

Hello, I am looking to replace an axle which measures 72 with 58, really 58.5, spring centers. I need something that I can use with the spring mounts on top. I only seem to be finding ones marked as underslung with the spring mounts on the bottom. Hope I am missing something? Thank you

Nope, you aren't missing anything. There are not any 2k, 72 inch axles with the spring seats on top, just with standard spring seats, like the Trailer Idler Axle Beam # e78GR.

What you can do is have new spring seats welded on, which admittedly isn't as easy as just finding an axle with pre-existing spring seats, but it's really the only option. For this use Spring Seat for Typical 2,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 1-3/4" Diameter # TRSS175.
