Is It Normal for New Trailer Equalizers To Be Cracking After 10,000 Miles
Published 10/11/2023 >
Question:
I bought this trailer new and only have about maybe 10k miles on it and they are not all loaded miles is it normal for the equalizer to begin splitting on one side of the trailer I understand this is a wear part but would it not be better if this had a greasable bushing on all pivot points so it wear the shoe less. Seems like it should have grease points at all its pivot points thank you

That's definitely not normal at all, especially for your trailer being as new as it is. Unfortunately, you are going to need to replace these, so what you can do is either see if it's covered under warranty, or replace them yourself.
If you plan to replace them yourself, you'll just need to measure the horizontal distance from left to right on the bolt holes, as well as the vertical distance between them. Once you have these measurements, feel free to come back and we'll get you situated, or you can check out the page I've attached which has all of our standard equalizers.
