Question:
Do I have to take the bumper cover off to install the etrailer Hitch on my 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you will have the remove the rear bumper cover when installing the etrailer item # e25TR hitch on your 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon. This is because the etrailer hitch mounts behind the rear bumper. While this is best for clearance it does make installation a bit more difficult.
I have linked an installation video below. If you skip ahead to the 2:40 point you will see the process of removing the rear bumper.
The etrailer Hitch item # e25TR is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56040 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
