Question:

I am trying to install a blue ox patriot on a 2023 ford maverick but cannot get it to calibrate. After set up the lights flash blue and red and the controller said to re calibrate. tried several times always without success. vehicle was not in TOAD mode when doing this because it was just a dry fit. will it need to be in order to calibrate patriot?

A blue and red light on the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR means there is too much pressure on the brake pedal. Try to see if you can move the unit back from the pedal until the lights start blinking blue and green in sequence. You can then continue with setup.

We are not 100% familiar with this Ford Maverick "Toad" mode, if the brake pedal does not move normally when not in toad mode, this would explain the issue. If none of this helps, we do suggest reaching out to blue ox directly.
