The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRVUE for the 2008 Saturn Vue requires temporary removal of the rear coil springs and permanent removal of the factory bump stops. This kit bolts on to your vehicle frame using vehicle-specific brackets. It is necessary to raise the rear end of the vehicle to allow the rear suspension to hang freely for the installation. I have attached the written installation instructions from Timbren; please note these make no reference to removal of struts.
We do not have an installation video for this particular kit on your particular vehicle but for your reference I have linked you to a video showing installation of a comparable Timbren product in another vehicle.
Timbren recommends professional installation but if you do this yourself you will need appropriately-rated jacks, jack stands and wheel chocks to safely lift and stabilize the Vue.
I have also included an article that details the operation of Timbren springs.
