Question:
I just received my order amd am going to install the rails in my 2014 Ford Super Duty with a 6 3/4 foot bed. I need to know the distance from the rear of the bed to the rails

Thank you for your recent order for 5th wheel components. The written installation instructions for the custom Ford kit you purchased, part # C16424-204, have been sent to you in a separate email message.
The front base rail (the one nearest the cab) should be positioned so that its rear-facing edge is 54-3/16-inches from the rear edge of the truck bed. Once this front rail is positioned you can use the mounting tabs on the hitch base assembly to determine the correct location for the rear rail. The hitch will sit in your truck so that the hitch center is slightly forward of the axle center.
You can also locate the correct position for the rails based on the custom under-bed brackets. Since these brackets are installed in the pre-existing holes in the truck frame, once they are mounted you can drill up through the bed from underneath, using the bracket as a template.
