How Much Amperage Does Each Axle of Trailer Brakes Draw

Question:
How do I know the electric current they will take when I use 2 sets of electric brakes? Each one is 4A? Why is this knid of information not in the specs? I think its related to safty.

Expert Reply:
Typically a tandem trailer brake setup will be rated for up to 20 amps of 12 volt power. So basically each axle of brakes is rated for 10 amps.
