Is Glue or Drilling Required to Install Thule Elite Van XT Promaster Bike Rack

Question:
2015 ram promaster 2500, this bike rack installed with no drilling? Or does it need the glue, I have a 40 lb ebike, will this rack handle that Thanks

Thule does recommend using glue when installing the Promaster Bike Rack part # TH302013 but there is no drilling required to install it.
The recommended glues are Dekalin MS 5, SIKA 252 or Terostat MS937
