The alarm on the Bright Way # BW94FR is designed to go off whenever the trailer is disconnected. So as soon as it no longer senses power from the 7 way plug on your truck, it will activate the alarm. It sounds like the 7 way plug on your truck only has a hot 12v with the key in, and does not have 12v with the truck turned off. In which case, this will happen every time you remove the key. This is a feature of the Incident Crisis Unit signals on your breakaway box. You will have to press the alarm button every time you disconnect the trailer, or in your case park your trailer and turn your truck off (the brakeaway unit still senses a disconnect) or it will continue to flash until the battery dies.
