Why Is My Trailer Making a Banging Noise When Braking Or Pulling Away
Question:
I have a 2007 Eezeload trailer with a Dexter single axle and a model A75 UFP surge brake actuator . My trailer bangs when I take off or brake . It was low on fluid I filled it and I don’t think there is air in the lines or the disc calipers . Calipers are shiny so brakes must be coming on . There is about a half inch of nothing when I slide the hitch back and forth watching the slot on the side ! Any idea what I need to fix this ? Thanks Len

Len, the banging that you're describing is absolutely a common symptom of a bad shock component, so all you need to fix it is to replace it with the Replacement Shock Absorber Spring Kit for Dexter Brake Actuators # TK71-758-00.
