The Bluetooth range of the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is right around 50'. The only time this would be an issue is on longer motorhomes but even then it will still work with most.
Also worth mentioning is that if for some reason you were to lose the Bluetooth connection the brake controller will continue to work with it's last used settings. It would not just stop working altogether once the connection was lost.
