Are the installation procedures for the 06 the same as the 07, or the 04, which have videos on your site. Am trying to decide how much help Ill need.....friends I need to cajole into assisting.

From my research it looks like the first generation of the Volvo XC90 runs from 2002 - present (2014) with a minor facelift in 2007. The installation process is same as either the 2004 or 2007 for your 2006 Volvo.
The installation of this Curt # 13559 hitch does not require additional drilling, it does require minor fascia trimming. It is recommended to temporarily lower the exhaust and spare tire for installing this hitch. I would think that one helper would suffice.

If you'll be towing with your XC90, you'll need a few other products to complete your towing system"
