Will Thule Kayak Carrier The Stacker Fit a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Factory Roof Rack

We have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a roof rack. Will the TH830 work for us? Our longest kayaks are 10 footers, with a deeper v type hull and 1 kayak with a flat bottom. I was looking at this item on your site last year and it was recommended, at the time, to also purchase a kayak rest per kayak. I cannot find anything like this on your site today. Is this something that is no longer recommended? If this item will work for us, what else would we need to secure 3 kayaks? Thank you

On your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory roof rack and crossbars that run side to side, the Thule Stacker, # TH830, is listed as a fit. Since this carrier will hold the kayaks on their sides and holds them in place with straps at the bars and for the bow/stern, the different designs of kayaks that you have will not be a problem.
I am not sure what type of rest you might be thinking of. Are we talking about storage off of the vehicle or transporting the kayaks to and from the vehicle? Or is it another type of roof mount carrier you are thinking of? I am sure I can find it or something similar if you could give me a little more information.
Since you will be carrying 3 kayaks I recommend adding some additional tie downs, # TH521, and bow/stern tie downs, # TH855XT
