Why Can't Trailer Axles Just be Flipped

I have a jayco trailer that I would like to lower. The axle is under the leaf spring. Why do I need a kit to move it above the spring? Can I just flip the u bolts over when relocating the axle above the leaf spring? Thank you

This is a really great question, but the reason is because they put a bow in trailer axles to compensate for the weight that is on them so that the camber is correct. If you were to just rotate the axle the wheel would be cambered way out and would wear out quick and handle weird.

I went out to the warehouse and measured Replacement Cap #MJ-1500B-CP for you. The threaded part has a diameter of 2.08 inches. The overall diameter is 2.19 inches. I have included a picture showing these measurements.
