Can An Advent Air AC Unit Replace A Dometic 620526.321 With No Air Distribution Box

Question:

duo therm 620526.321 we need to replace this unit with a new one. I see you recommend the Advent however the existing A/C has no ceiling assembly. can you help me identify what A/C we should be using? Thanks,

If your Dometic 620526.321 doesn't have an air distribution box then you would need to determine how it's attached to the roof. The units we carry, like the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner # ACDOM150, require an air distribution box to bolt to and clamp to the roof. The trailer manufacturer most likely built some sort of mounting bracket to match the hole spacing for these units so the next step would be figuring out the wiring.

If you don't have a controller to plug into right under the unit and it's instead hardwired you would have to reach out to Dometic and get the wiring diagram to determine the functions of the wires running to your unit to match them up with the Advent unit. This would also require you to cut off the connector on the Advent wire harness to splice it into the wiring, which would void the warranty.

You could try reaching out to Dometic for an exact replacement for your current unit as well since we don't currently offer the Dometic line.
